No Man's Sky Horrible Performance. Question/Support. I have a 3070 and a i5-11400f and a Quest 2. I can run about any game at high-max graphics. There are occassional hitches when new environments are loaded in on some games due to a pretty slow HDD, but aside from this, performance tends to be very great on all games. ghosteh Aug 1, 2018 @ 5:30pm. so what i've done to fix this issue for me is go to "steamapps\common\No Man's Sky\Binaries\SETTINGS" and open "TKGRAPHICSSETTINGS.MXML". find "NumHighThreads" and "NumLowThreads", and change the Low value to 0 and High to 4. probably should also note that you'll possibly need to delete your shader cache too, as Go into your No Mans Sky installation folder, binaries and then SETTINGS. For me it's: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky\Binaries\SETTINGS It doesn't even work right on high end machines. GPU = old AND weak if you had a 780M in there i'd say its possible, and if your clock speed was 3.5ghz or higher. but honestly if you wanna try and run it just dont try and dink with it for more than an hour and a half. so you can refund it when it doesnt work well enough.
The major problem is that there is no SLI profile for NMS in the latest driver. Try to disable SLI. Playing the game normally works perfectly fine, but when I try to play in VR it crashes after only a few minutes of play, regardless of game settings. I use a Quest 2 via Air Link, PC specs are AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU, AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT GPU, 16 GB RAM.

TAA can be anywhere from 1-2fps to 10-20 fps depending on your GPU shader power. You can also change AA modes without restarting the game, so see which one hides jaggies the best for the performance loss. FXAA + TAA is a blurry mess to me, I like TAA. Shadow quality will have the largest impact on performance.
